Navigating Retirement Income

It is essential to prepare for ALL future retirement milestones. We leave no stone unturned when it comes to retirement income strategies. Our focus will be on:

Our Retirement Planning Process

  • Discovery Meeting

Introductory meeting with a Certified Financial Planner. Our goal is to understand what is most important to you.

  • Financial Questionnaire

Review a comprehensive financial questionnaire to gather a complete picture of your financial health.

  • Goals & Getting Organized

We help gather your financial documents and information. We’ll meet to assess your financial situation, pose questions, and discuss where you want to grow.

  • Financial Plan

Our team of CFPs will build you a custom financial plan based on your goals, values, risk tolerance, and more.

  • Design & Deliver Your Action Item

You’ll receive a list of action items that are necessary for immediate changes and future milestones.

  • Investment Policy Statement (IPS)

The IPS provides the general investment goals and objectives specific to you and describes the strategies that the Financial Planner should employ to meet these objectives. Specific information on matters such as asset allocation, risk tolerance, and liquidity requirements are included in an investment policy statement. A formal agreement provides transparency and avoids any ambiguity for the client and Financial Planner.

  • Ongoing Reviews

We will conduct ongoing reviews to make sure you are on track with your financial goals and investments.

Mitigating Risks and Protecting Assets

  • Addressing inflation risk
  • Long-term care
  • Medical expenses

Consider Other Factors Than Finances

Often, we see that soon-to-be retirees do not put much thought into other facets of their life when preparing for retirement. These topics seem to be forgotten in favor of the long list of financial numbers that need to be reviewed.

Psychological Well-Being

What will you do with your time once you retire? Studies have shown if a new retiree is not mentally prepared for retirement it can lead to a feeling of loneliness, depression, or wasted days with unfulfilling activities. Commonly, we see people within the first three years of retirement become bored of their new lifestyle and start back to work full-time a job that pays substantially less and more importantly is unfulfilling.

The Health Challenge

What do we mean by “health”? Traditionally, health was defined as freedom from disease. But today health is much more than just the absence of illness or disease. The World Health Organization (WHO) definition of health is “a state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”. This definition recognizes that spiritual, emotional, biological, genetic, behavioral, and societal aspects of life all play important roles in health.
